What are some of the activities available to do at Patapsco Valley State Park? Family Fun Day is an opportunity to learn more about park amenities and experiences from park staff and community partners. From mountain biking to fighting faux flames, there is an activity to appeal to everyone. There will be numerous activities set up for the whole family to enjoy.

Soldiers Delight Conservation, Inc. will host a table displaying invasive plants. We will tell you all about their evil ways, and show you how to identify these nasty invaders. We will also provide suggestions for how to replace them with hardy, deer-resistant native beauties.

Youngsters will be able to dress up in genuine Nomex fire-fighting gear and learn how prescribed burns at Soldiers Delight help keep invasive plants at bay so that native plants can thrive in our unique and fragile habitat.

There will be free entry to all Patapsco Valley State Park visitors at the Hilton Area entrance only from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on this day.
