Melissa Schehlein

Melissa Schehlein is a Baltimore County native who joined the board of directors of Soldiers Delight Conservation, Inc. in 2014 after spending many years attending events and programs hosted by SDCI, which serves as the Friends group for Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area in Northwest Baltimore County. She is the author of Towson, Then & Now (Arcadia), a pictorial record of the considerable changes within Towson, Maryland, over the course of the past hundred years.

Melissa’s professional background is in marketing and advertising, so the board was delighted when Melissa offered to assume responsibility for SDCI’s social media communications. Additionally, Melissa possesses a personal interest in art and photography, and has photographed a number of SDCI events and educational programming for us
