Irvine Nature Center to Feature Soldiers Delight Experts!
SDCI is excited to announce that Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills will host its final evening in their 2022-2023 EAT, DRINK, & LEARN Speaker Series, the theme for which has been Rare, Threatened, & Endangered, by featuring a special presentation about Soldiers Delight Natural Environment Area.
The evening includes dinner and will feature Laura Van Scoyoc, President of Soldiers Delight Conservation, Inc. (SDCI), the Friends Group for the habitat, and Dr. R. Wayne Tyndall, the Maryland state ecologist who oversaw the Serpentine Ecosystem Restoration Program at Soldiers Delight from 1995 until his retirement in 2021. Dr. Tyndall now serves as scientific advisor on the board of directors at SDCI.
Tickets for non-Irvine members are $70 per participant (includes dinner), $60 for Irvine members at pacesetter level and above. Sign up for this event at Irvine Nature Center.
