Flocking South: A Migratory Bird Hike

Warblers and kinglets and raptors, oh my! Join a Soldiers Delight naturalist on a hike through unique serpentine grasslands to search for autumn visitors as they travel south while you learn about some of the amazing feats of migration in the avian world. This is a good opportunity for beginning birders to learn the ropes and for experienced birders to explore a new area or to practice for the upcoming annual bird count! Bring binoculars if you have them (there will be a few to lend), dress for the weather, and wear good hiking shoes for walking on moderate slopes and uneven terrain. This program will be cancelled in the event of rain. Signup encouraged. Great for ages 8 and up!
