Stargazing Program -- Eight Planets, One Star, Endless Stories

Join the members of the Westminster Astronomical Society Inc., for a guided tour of our solar system. Explore the eight planets that orbit our sun and hear the fascinating stories they tell about formation, change, and diversity. 

Rain or shine, during the indoor portion of the program, you will learn the constellations and have your questions answered about the galaxy. If the weather is clear, the group will spend time outside once it is dark viewing the cosmos through "time machines" (telescopes) provided by WASI. Feel free to bring your own telescope! WASI will assist with setup and focusing as needed. Wear sturdy shoes as night hiking is required to get to the viewing field. This program is eligible for the Model B Junior Ranger Program. Signup is encouraged. This program will be held even if raining.
