Stargazing Program -- WASI Star Party

When: January 17, 2026
  6:00 pm Saturday
Where: Soldiers Delight NEA
How Much: FREE, Donations Welcome!

Join the Westminster Astrological Society (WASI) to see how they use the "I" word to explore constellations by making glow in the dark maps. Don't know what the "I" word is? Then join WASI Saturday night to find out! Learn unique ways to leave planet Earth, journey to the stars, and be back in time for breakfast. Observation of the sky before and after the program will be weather dependent.

Rain or shine, during the indoor portion of the program, you will learn the constellations and have your questions answered about the galaxy. If the weather is clear, the group will spend time outside once it is dark viewing the cosmos through "time machines" (telescopes) provided by WASI. Feel free to bring your own telescope! WASI will assist with setup and focusing as needed. Wear sturdy shoes as night hiking is required to get to the viewing field. This program is eligible for the Model B Junior Ranger Program. Signup is encouraged. This program will be held even if raining.
